Educate Yourself
In all likelihood, you did not learn about employment contracts in medical school or residency. This book will allow you to quickly acquire the knowledge you'll need when seeking a job!
Negotiate
Knowledge does not help you if you are not willing to negotiate on your own behalf. You must be willing to demand what you deserve.
Enjoy the Benefits
Those who are willing to educate themselves and negotiate on their own behalf will earn more and receive better benefits. You will be and astute and happy physician!
Why You Need This Book
The landscape of medicine is rapidly changing. More physicians than ever are making the decision to work as an employee as opposed to starting their own practice. Physicians who are not knowledgeable about the business of medicine are like sheep...and where there are sheep, wolves thrive! This book will provide physicians with a framework of knowledge that will empower them during the job seeking and contract negotiating process. Let's be honest, most contracts are provided by and favor the employer. It will be the responsibility of the employee-physician to negotiate a FAIR and BALANCED contract and this book will set you on the right path to achieving that end.
What they Say?
Every once in a while, a book attempts to help physicians avoid becoming the victim of a system that may perceive them as highly-skilled labor. Ignore it at your peril.
